Possibly the most iconic, dangerous, yet adventurous time you could ever have on Oʻahu is on these infamous Haiku Stairs, or commonly known as the Stairway to Heaven. Built by the military in secret, the original wooden stairs were built along the ridge over Haiku valley as a means to reach a radar station at the Koʻolau summit.
Over the decades, the stairs have become a popular attraction to the point of contoversy thanks to social media. Recently, there have been discussions of tearing it down due to the hoards of visitors and dangers involved with climbing up. Either way, this is one of the most unique and picturesque views to ever have in Hawai’i.
