Reflections & Project Background/Context
Publishing any large scale project in December is practically unheard of in my years as a creator on Youtube! Let alone anything war related in a time where everyone is in the Christmas spirit! But I did so with this one!
I have grown so much on this journey as a cultural creator having had the blessing to immerse deeply into Pacific Island cultures, namely Palau & Hawai’i in recent years.
What do these two factors have in common? They are the result of trying something different, and not in fear of the journey upwind.
That what voyaging is all about! Learning, growing, evolving, and expanding ones world into the unknown. From the open seas, on the open road, to the very journey in this world of content creation.
Peleliu: Then & Now was a solid journey of learning new ways to share stories regardless if it’s cultural or not. To contribute to the future stories as I voyage on!

I’ve always had it in my heart that something was missing in the way people portray or travel to “vacation destinations” or volunteering, etc. Even making profit out of native cultures or not even knowing about the indigenous people who are still alive today on those lands. Seeing the love and dedication in your work brings hope. For others to go deeper and be more aware. Such a respectable way you immerse yourself into these cultures and placed and not sugar coating it but giving the raw beauty in a gentle way.
